Tonight, Arsenal take on Southampton for the second time in four days after losing 1-0 to the Saints on Saturday in the FA Cup fourth round.
It was a flat performance from Arsenal on Saturday and Mikel Arteta’s Gunners will he hoping for a different outcome in their Premier League clash.
While Southampton have a string of players out of tonight’s game through injury and suspension, Arteta has some selection issues to contend with, too.
SOUTHAMPTON INJURY NEWS: Saints missing up to NINE players for Arsenal game
The most notable potential absentee is Pierre-Emerick Aubamayang. The Arsenal captain missed his team’s visit on Saturday due to a “personal matter” and it’s expected that will be the case again tonight.
Aubamayang scored Arsenal’s goal in their 1-1 draw against Southampton at the Emirates Stadium earlier this season.
Elsewhere, Spanish duo Dani Ceballos and Pablo Mari are confirmed to be out of the Arsenal squad today due to respective calf problems.
Influential Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney could return, but he will be assessed before the game at St Mary’s for a calf injury of his own.
Southampton are expected to be missing up to nine players for tonight’s fixture.
