Leeds United vs Southampton team news
Southampton and Leeds United haven’t met in a competitive fixture since 2012. That last game saw Leeds run out 3-0 winners in a League Cup tie.
Saints manager Ralph Hasenhuttl will be hoping to avoid such a scoreline but continues to endure a number of injury problems with his squad.
Kyle Walker-Peters, Theo Walcott and Ibrahima Diallo are among the key Southampton players confirmed to be out with injury, while talismanic midfielder Stuart Armstrong has a “50-50” chance of returning to the first team according to the Austrian.
Leeds have similar issues. Marcelo Bielsa is missing six players who are considered important parts of his aggressive brand of football at Elland Road.
Kalvin Phillips, Rodrigo and Robin Koch are among those key names that are currently sidelined with injury.
