Newcastle United do not have anywhere near the injury issues Southampton are facing, but that doesn’t mean Magpies manager Steve Bruce doesn’t have some tough decisions to make ahead of this afternoon’s game.
There are at least three Newcastle players who are expected to miss Southampton’s visit today.
They all happen to be defenders, too. Federico Fernandez, Jamaal Lascelles and Paul Dummett are out with injury.

However, there is some good news for Newcastle fans.
Joe Willock, a loan signing from Arsenal in the January transfer window, could feature against the Saints and that will be a boost to Bruce.
Newcastle have picked up 22 points from 22 games so far this season and have lost four of their five last matches.
