Leicester City vs Southampton team news
This evening, Southampton square off against Leicester City in the Emirates FA Cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium.
Either the Foxes or the Saints will take on Chelsea in the final after the defeated Manchester City 1-0 yesterday.
Today’s game will take place in front of a limited crowd of 4,000 after it was picked as a test event by the UK government.
With a spot in the final to play for, Brendan Rodgers and Ralph Hasenhuttl are expected to field full-strength sides today.
Leicester look set to welcome back James Maddison, Ayoze Perez and Hamza Choudhury back into the fold. The trio were left out of Leicester’s defeat to West Ham United last week after they were caught breaching coronavirus restrictions.
As for Southampton, Hasenhuttl has no new fresh injury worries. Oriol Romeu, Michael Obafemi and Will Smallbone remain out for the rest of the season.
Takumi Minamino, on loan from Liverpool, is ineligible to play in the FA Cup for Saints after he already appeared for his parent club in the competition earlier in the season.
