Southampton injury update: Two key men to miss Leicester game
Leicester injury update: Turkish duo back in contention, one key man injured
Southampton vs. Leicester City team news
Southampton have had a poor 2021 and have slid down the table since briefly topping the Premier League in November.
Saints now lie 15th in the Premier League standings, having lost 12 of their last 15 games in the league.
On the other hand, Leicester City have been consistently good throughout the 2020/21 campaign as they chase a place in next season’s Champions League.
Third in the league, Brendan Rodgers’ side also booked their place in the FA Cup final at the expense of Southampton earlier in the month with an uneventful 1-0 victory.
Ralph Hasenhuttl is unable to call on two key players for Leicester’s visit today.
Saints’ main goalscoring threat Danny Ings is out after he picked up a hamstring injury against Tottenham Hotspur in their last game.
Ryan Bertrand is also out, joining Oriol Romeu and Will Smallbone on the sidelines.
The Foxes won’t be able to call on Harvey Barnes today as he recovers from his knee injury and subsequent surgery. However, Turkish duo Caglar Soyuncu and Cengiz Under are back in contention to play.
