Liverpool vs Southampton team news
Liverpool and Southampton square off for the second time in 2021 as the Premier League draw to the close.
Saints got the better of Jurgen Klopp’s side last time round, but Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side has dropped down the league standings ever since.
Liverpool are still in with a slim chance of Champions League football and will be determined to help their cause against Southampton today at Anfield.
Southampton are situated 16th in the Premier League table at the time of writing, and are 10 points clear of Fulham in the relegation zone with a game in hand.
Klopp says he will have to assess the fitness levels of several players ahead of a glut of games coming up.
As for Saints, Jannik Vestergaard is able to play after his red card picked up against Leicester City last week was rescinded.
However, Southampton will be without Takumi Minamino, on loan from Liverpool, as he can’t play his parent club, while striker Danny Ings is not fit to face his former club.
