Southampton are among the clubs who are looking to sign pacy right-back Djed Spence, who is on loan at Nottingham Forest from fellow Championship club Middlesbrough according to a report.
Spence, 21, has played for both Forest and Boro already this season, so wouldn’t be able to play for any of his potential suitors until the 2022-23 campaign.
Tottenham are keen to get the transfer done in advance for Spence amid reported interest from Southampton, so says the Mirror’s Tom Hopkinson.
Other reports say that Arsenal and Roma are also looking to sign Spence.
Saints have been linked to a string of signings in the January transfer window, including respected journalist Fabrizio Romano stating that Saints are willing to bid as high as £25m to keep hold of Armando Broja, who is on loan from Chelsea.
Understand Southampton are now expected to launch a £25m record bid for Albanian striker Armando Broja. Proposal to be submitted soon. ⚪️ #SaintsFC

Let's see Chelsea position - as Thomas Tuchel is a big admirer of Broja. "He's our player", Tuchel said few days ago. pic.twitter.com/LvkrF0uypu
Southampton are also reportedly interested in a different player on Chelsea’s books in midfielder Tino Anjorin, who is currently being loaned out to Lokomotiv Moscow.
However, nothing has materialised from any of these rumours and reports so far as the end of January draws near.
